We are seeking a talented individual to join our Health Actuaries team at Marsh. This role can be based in Phoenix, Atlanta, Minneapolis, or DC. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
As a Government Actuary, you will develop the overall strategy for the Health Actuaries team and strive to become a trusted resource by delivering ongoing actuarial work that is client ready, on time, and on budget. You will provide high-level review of data analyses related to underwriting health and welfare insurance, brokering contracts, and projecting health care costs, ensuring actuarial soundness and proper use of models. You will also lead the development of senior team members and oversee client engagements to maintain our high service standards.
We will count on you to:
Develop and execute the overall strategy for the Health Actuaries team
Provide high-level review of data analyses to ensure actuarial soundness and correct model usage
Review and deliver client reports and presentations summarizing findings and recommending strategies or solutions
Oversee client engagements to ensure service standards are met or exceeded
Lead the development of intellectual capital in health insurance actuarial services and products
Drive business development by identifying growth opportunities and leading proposal efforts to meet revenue goals
What you need to have:
Extensive experience in health insurance actuarial work, including underwriting, cost projection, and Medicaid actuarial experience
Strong leadership skills with experience developing senior team members
Proven ability to deliver client-ready actuarial work on time and within budget
Excellent communication skills for client reporting and presentations

Marsh is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one "anchor day" per week on which their full team will be together in person.
The applicable base salary range for this role is $212,000 to $318,000.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
